Managing the morning rush with two young daughters in a small bathroom can be quite an adventure! That’s why I’m always on the lookout for solutions that simplify our family’s morning and evening routines. Let me tell you, this bathroom routine bin has been a game-changer in our home. It’s my ultimate mom hack! Fill your bin with all the essentials for instant organization in the bathroom. As a bonus, it easily fits right under the bathroom sink to keep everything tidy and in one place! It’s the ultimate kids’ bathroom organization trick!
Whether your mornings involve wrangling school-aged kids onto the bus, getting toddlers ready for preschool, or simply managing the chaos at home, this mom hack has transformed our mornings, and I’m confident it can do the same for you, no matter how old your children are!
In fact, this bathroom organizational hack has worked so well for us that I’m tempted to create one for my husband and myself! After all, who doesn’t love a simplified morning and evening routine?

What to Include in Your Morning Routine Bin:
Caddy or Bin: Pick a sturdy, easy-to-clean caddy or bin that fits nicely in your bathroom. Look for one with different sections to keep everything organized and easy to find.
Toothbrushes and Toothpaste: Make sure each person in the family has their toothbrush and toothpaste ready to go. We love our electric toothbrushes, and these handy toothpaste caps and tube stands make brushing even more fun!
Daily Routine Checklist: Enable children to manage their morning routine independently by using this convenient free daily routine checklist. perfect for both morning and bedtime.
Hairbrush or Comb: Keep a hairbrush or comb handy for those morning tangles. It’s a quick fix for messy hair before heading out.
Extra Hair Supplies: If your family has different hair types, include things like detangling spray, hair gel, dry shampoo or leave-in conditioner to keep everyone’s hair looking great.
Hair Accessories: Don’t forget about hair ties, clips, or headbands for those last-minute styling touches.
Solid Perfume/Deodorant: For the older kids, a bit of solid perfume or deodorant can make them feel fresh and ready for the day.
Lipgloss/Chapstick: Don’t forget their favorite flavored lipgloss or chapstick! It not only keeps their lips moisturized but also adds a hint of fun to their morning routine.
Hand Sanitizer: Keep hands clean and germ-free with hand sanitizer or soap. It’s perfect for a quick cleanup anytime. My girls LOVE these splurge-worthy sprays!!
First Aid Essentials: Band-Aids are essential for addressing little cuts and scrapes, ensuring you’re ready for any minor accidents. Consider a cute storage tin that won’t be affected if it gets a little wet – you can easily refill it with Target Dollar Spot bandages as needed.
Tissues or Wipes: Pack some tissues for sniffles or spills. These are compact, tree-free, and always handy to have around!
Lotion/Creams/Sunscreen: Keep skin soft and smooth with lotion, especially during the colder months when dry skin is more common. In the summer months, swap for sunscreen instead. For the littlest ones, diaper cream/powder is a must-have for their delicate skin.
Face Wash: Before bedtime, unwind using face wash or refreshing mist to remove the day’s dirt and grime. For younger ones, a gentle washcloth with water is usually effective for cleansing and teaches good hygiene habits.
Nail Clippers or Files: Tidy up nails with nail clippers or files.
Water Cup: Ideal for rinsing or late-night sips of water, I prefer these small cups in our bins. However, a collapsible version would be fantastic for accommodating bigger drinks for older kids.
Vitamins: Don’t forget those daily vitamins! Use a fun days-of-the-week vitamin case to make sure everyone gets what they need to start the day off right.
Another Mom Hack: Consider adding a timer to the caddy. This encourages kids to brush for the recommended two minutes, turning a routine into a little game! Plus, it helps them stay on track with their morning routine.
