The Best Double Stroller for Disney Theme Parks + Free Customizable Stroller Sign

Headed to Disney- using our Jeep Scout Double Stroller in the Airport

We recently traveled to Walt Disney World with our 3 and 6-year-old girls, and the MVP (most valuable purchase) of our trip was hands-down our double umbrella stroller. Whether you are traveling to Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or any theme park really, a double stroller is an absolute must for us when traveling with multiple, young children.

Our 6-year-old is nearing the end of the stroller age, and we recently sold our Baby Jogger City Mini Double. I thought a lot about buying a new stroller. I also considered renting one for our trip.

Many options are available for stroller rentals at Walt Disney World and through companies like Magic Strollers and Orlando Stroller Rentals. Prices vary among these services. For example, I was quoted $120 to rent a City Mini Double Stroller, including delivery to our Disney resort for 5 days. While having a stroller delivered to our hotel is convenient, we could save $30 by picking it up at a warehouse, making the rental $90 for 5 days.

However, since we weren’t renting a car for our time at Disney, and I also wanted to be able to use the stroller at the airport, we ultimately decided that purchasing one was a better value and convenience for us.

The stroller I ended up purchasing was the Jeep Scout Double Stroller by Delta Children. We really liked it and apparently many other people do as well- it tends to go in and out of stock quite often.

Another one I would recommend looking at is the Jeep PowerGylde Plus Side x Side Double Stroller. This one costs a bit more but has extra features. I might have splurged on it if my girls were younger and could use it longer.

Our Disney double stroller was the MVP of our trip, and I’m not exaggerating. From the airport, my girls were in the stroller until we checked it at the gate. After the flight, they had a cozy seat while waiting for our luggage. At the parks, it provided a shady spot to snack and rest. Plus, the stroller made getting around the park so easy!

The Jeep Scout Double Stroller even fit my tall 6.5 year old, providing the perfect nap spot after a long day at the parks.

The stroller’s adequate storage compartments also came in quite handy. We used the mesh back pockets to store extra non-valuable gear such as sunscreen, ponchos, sunglasses, and even water bottles that we did not want to carry on us while waiting in line for rides. There is also a non-mesh pocket to hold things like keys/wallets/phones inconspicuously.

Our Disney double stroller was very compact, perfect for maneuvering through the parks, and was also easy to collapse quickly. It was necessary to collapse it on the buses, but on other forms of transportation such as the tram, we were able to just push the girls right on.

Looking for other options? Baby Joy also makes a comparable lightweight, double stroller that pretty much matches the specs of the Jeep and gets great reviews. It comes in both black and pink.

I recently came across the Dream On Me Volga Twin Umbrella Stroller at a great price so I am adding it to my recommendations list, too.

All of these strollers share the same common denominators: light-weight, compact, umbrella-style collapsibility, full-coverage canopy for shade, functional storage compartments, affordable, and quality reviews. If you find a different double stroller that you prefer, just make sure that it meets the Disney stroller requirements.

Stroller ready? A rain cover and a stroller fan are two accessories I’d recommend bringing along on your trip to Disney.  A stroller sign is another thing that you’ll be glad to have at the parks!

In the stroller parking lot sea of sameness, a sign will make it much quicker to spot your stroller after rides or a meal break and also doubles for cute photo ops.

I whipped this one up right before our trip and got so many requests that I decided to turn it into a customizable printable so that you are able to make one for your family as well. I’d love to hear if you do!
