A Charming Girls’ Bedroom featuring Sherwin Williams Abalone Shell
Looking for fresh girls’ bedroom ideas? You’ve come to the right place! For as long as I can remember, my oldest, Josie, has dreamed of having a pink room, and our new house provided the perfect opportunity to make that a reality. While we may have started with different opinions on the shade of pink paint, we both fell in love with Sherwin Williams Abalone Shell for the walls. It might just be the best pink paint color for a girl’s bedroom! This youthful and sweet hue has just the right touch of blush and dustiness, giving it a moody charm that will suit our 8-year-old girl now and as she grows. Add a white canopy bed and a rattan lamp, and you have the most perfect vintage whimsical room a girl could hope for!
The Dreamy White Canopy Bed
Josie’s second request and by far the most standout feature of her room is her white wood canopy bed. And guess what? We found it for less than $300! This canopy bed sprinkles a little fairy-tale magic into her space, making it a warm and welcoming hideaway for a young girl to curl up in after a busy day. The wood construction and its full size ensure it’ll grow with her over the years. It might not be a fancy Pottery Barn piece, but it’s a fantastic budget-friendly choice. Plus, when it comes to kids’ rooms, I’m all for smart finds where you can. Those splurge moments can be saved for the main bedroom options.

Rattan Floor Lamp
The Serene Rattan Floor Lamp
Complementing the bed, we added a rattan floor lamp. I think every room needs something rattan, and this space was no different. Its natural texture and warm glow create a serene ambiance, perfect for reading bedtime stories or playing quietly. The lamp’s earthy tones beautifully balance the room’s pink hues, adding depth and character. It is both a functional piece and a stylish accessory, enhancing the room’s whimsical charm while providing the perfect light for evening activities. The exact lamp is Lillian August and was a coveted HomeGoods find, although I am currently loving this similar option.
Chic White-Washed Bamboo Blinds
To complete the look, we found chic white-washed bamboo blinds for less than $50 each. These blinds offer a fresh, airy feel and are perfect for controlling the amount of natural light that filters into the room. They seamlessly blend with the soft pink walls, creating a harmonious and restful environment. The blinds’ simple yet elegant design contributes to the room’s overall aesthetic, ensuring that the space feels open and breezy while providing privacy when needed.

A Perfect Blend of Style and Function
Josie’s room beautifully combines smart finds and thoughtful splurges, creating a space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The soothing hue of Sherwin Williams’ Abalone Shell adds an elegant touch, elevating the overall design even further. Her white canopy bed serves as a stunning centerpiece, adding a touch of whimsy and a cozy feel to the room, while the rattan lamp provides warm lighting and a natural texture that complements the decor. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out, and most importantly, Josie loves it! I can’t wait to see what she dreams up for the decor next, especially as her collection of Swiftie memorabilia continues to grow
